Yes, I been following the thread with great interest and recognise the two fabulous parts suppliers. I know Glendale's bridges and saddles well because they adourn all my Teles, and I'm keeping a close eye on TaipanTone as Vince certainly seems to have some very neat skills and ideas. I predict that I'll be a customer of TaipanTone pretty soon!

I sure do wish Fuzzy was hear to join the debate magnetic, non-magnetic, allow, brass and other metal bridges and their effects on pick up tone. ;) I've read Bill Lawrence's "research" on eddy currents, etc. and understand his reasons for preferring, say a stainless steel bridge. With another choice of pick up, we might be having a different debate?

Anyway, back to my original point, I do really think that a 1-piece designed bridge would fill a gap in the market, as many people don't like the range of Bigby vibrato/tremelos and/or the Stetsbar.

    Yours looks sooooo cool!

    Great guitar and great thread.

    :D Peter

Dang! How'd I miss this thread. That guitar is absolutely effin' brilliant! My all time favorite payday from a gig was a 12 y.o. bottle of Dalmore.

Assume you mean a bottle of 12 year old Dalmore.

We once got a bunch of Seagrams in a Nova Scotia store, fishing trip. We only bought one bottle first and saw the 60s sticker. So we went back in a bought them all he had. Crazy yankees that we are. ;)

So the order of how you word it can matter. :D

Arlo, I had planned to attend NAMM in Nashvegas, but that darned thing called "work" has got in the way, and I've had to cancel.

Probably saves you from getting my drool all over "The Dalmore!"

LOL! Uh, yeah, a bottle of 12 year old Dalmore. Not that the other would have gone to waste either.

I find it hard to buy that.. You only drink scotch with a splash, and then only whilst wet sanding...

Well, you probably do a lot of wet sanding....

    Update on "The Dalmore Pinecaster"

Bill Lawrence sent me the new MINI COIL pickups and I received them yesterday. The guitar has been in pieces so I have not been able to post any pictures until now.

Where do I begin. This guitar is outstanding in many ways. Ron Kirn did an incredible job on all fronts. The paint, binding, design layout everything just looks perfect and unique.

These new pickups are incredibly powerful and crystal clear. I don't know a lot of technical specs on them because they are prototypes.

Bill describes them like this : "A higher output with dramatically reduced hum"

I will have the Dalmore with me at NAMM this week in Nashville. If you are there stop by the Bill Lawrence booth and say hello.

I am going to make a You Tube demonstration of these pickups today.

    A few more body shots.

The "Chimemaster" is a joy to use and really retains the Telecaster tone. I am having a blast with it. Vince did a great job with the highly polished control plate and the knobs.

The action and feel is really nice. There is a deep polished clear coat and the binding is perfect with the amber color.

I am a little worried you got the scotch out already...

Or you just taking the edge off to loosen up for the demo. ;)

Is that A/E saddle Ti ??

"A higher output with dramatically reduced hum"

Are ya sure he didn't say ""A dramatically higher output with reduced hum"
