Thank you edward and Freeman Keller. I have sawn out and sanded the master template to shape. It, along with a rough sawn, standard tele neck template seem to fit in a case.

I actually quite like the shape of the body template. I have matched it with both strat and tele neck templates, and found the pointier TE headstock to be the better match, design wise.

I am still working on my elongated tele headstock, aka the "Moose", which I think compliments the body shape quite nicely. Here I have glued the second iteration (shorter) onto the first. After I saturated the paper in clear, the paper became transparent and one can clearly see if I am making progress design wise or not. Tuning machine spacing is dictated by the string spacing of a Tusq XL nut.

    Well, we have template dust....

When I saw the Meteora I thought just a little too large. Yours has a nice compact profile. With Tele hardware and pickups this ought to be a real gem. Copyright this. I love this guitar already.
When will you start taking orders? I want a maple compound radius neck, ash body cherry burst, locking tuners...er, sorry. Got carried away.

I think I will have to ramp up my production to at least one per year.

Since I have to make a custom pickguard and control plate anyways, I decided to draft a full Jazzmaster version where the pickguard houses the tone & volume controls as well as the output jack.

    what do you think?

(I like the first one better, btw)

Tele control plate angled to about the angle of the top of the pickguard? Tele with a nod to the JM.

I made my first jig, the base was a mdf plate to be made into working templates suspended with cuttings..

.. from the rough shaping of the body itself.

It is quite interesting when you realise that all the time spent planning, making templates and setting jigs results in only a few minutes of...

    We are getting close

Final CAD design, with various small changes, including neck pickup arrangement, implemented along with the body routes.

Only one template remains to be made: neck pocket, bridge position and body cavities.
