One of my favourite YT channels:

My wife thought Mick was singing about being raised by two lesbians instead of a toothless bearded hag.

I always thought Bruce was singing about a Bridge in Disguise.

I had a friend, who laughed about his friend who sang:
    "with a glove...
    light the doobie now!"
btw-can anyone guess what the right lyrics were?
    Haha

Until only a couple of years ago I thought it was:
"If everybody had a notion, across the USA..."
    Of course it's:
"If everybody had an ocean, across the USA..."

Just about the complete song - "Walk Like a Man" 4-Seasons. Heard it all my life and I had no idea, save for part of the chorus. Didn't find out until a couple of years ago. Thank you Internet.

Beatles: "falling, yes I am falling and she keeps calling....."
I always thought it was "Farming, yes I am Farming...."
You know, the song did have a country feel.

Perhaps only 'picks' misheard but only fully comprehended once you reach a certain age :

You who are on the road
Must have a code that you can live by
    And so become yourself
Because the past is just a good-bye.
    Teach your children well,
Their father's hell did slowly go by,
And feed them on your dreams
The one they picks, the one you'll know by.
Don't you ever ask them why, if they told you, you will cry,
So just look at them and sigh
    And know they love you.

    And you, of tender years,
Can't know the fears that your elders grew by,
And so please help them with your youth,
They seek the truth before they can die.

    Teach your parents well,
Their children's hell will slowly go by,
And feed them on your dreams
The one they picks, the one you'll know by.

Don't you ever ask them why, if they told you, you will cry,
So just look at them and sigh and know they love you.

When I was a kid I thought Golden Slumbers said, 'Once there was a way, to get back homework.'

Did you know that 'In a Gadda Da Vida' was supposed to be 'In the Garden of Eden,' but when Doug Ingle called his bandmates after he wrote it, he was so drunk they didn't know what he was saying.

I've always thought Carole King wrote "Can I believe the magic of your size"...

I like changing words to more appropriate ones. For example, in "Things", "Mammaries are all I have to cling to..." The fun part is spotting who in the audience has got it.
