    G'day all,

I just finished watching this and thought it might be of interest to some of you. Interesting about the 100k pots, I'd never heard that before.

Thanks - that was really interesting and intriguing. Is it the guitar that may have disappeared that night of the plane crash?
Buddy was only 22! I believe Ritchie Valens was only 17.

His guitar wasn't on the plane, it was on the bus. It's a 58 and still around.

His 55 Strat was stolen, as was it's replacement.

So many successful/famous musicians have had gear stolen.

In reverse I read the Sex Pistols stole another bands Fender Twin, cut the grill cloth off, and used it on their recordings/live and then became famous.

It's a pity that the much loved "Mrs Holly" has closed down any web sites containing the pictures and story of the guitars renovation and just about any other reliable information about him.

Try to get hold of https://www.amazon.co.uk/Remembering-Buddy-Definitive-John-Beecher/dp/0711957029

I've worn about 5 copies out since the original came out in 1979.

I believe the '58 is at the Buddy Holly Museum in Lubbock, TX. I saw a '50s Strat that belonged to Buddy there a few years ago, anyway, but I don't remember for sure if it was that one.
