Well.. where’s the pictures?
This is not a Fender or a Gibson, or any other maker with brand recognition. It's not a masterbuilt. The company has been in business for 2 years. I'm not against $5k guitars. $5k telecasters maybe. Then there are the dubious marketing claims being made. Finally, and here is a pic, this is the worst burst I have ever seen.
I wouldn’t pay $100 for that
Can you imagine, you hit the lottery, you order a new Fender Custom Shop Tele, you finally get it, and you lovingly pour over every square inch of this thing of beauty, then you see a little sliver of paint that does not look quite right. You flick your pinkie finger nail at it, and off pops the sliver of paint. You gaze in astonishment at the little sticker that was buried beneath the paint! MADE IN CHINA!!!!!
Actually, that sunburst is so ugly it's appealing...reminds me of those cheap Harmony's or Kay's they used to sell at White's Auto Supply back in the sixties. (no kidding) Only, their hardware didn't look as good as your example. Yeah, I'd pay a hundred bucks for this.
What brand IS this?????
Macmull heartbreaker tele
I was in a guitar shop yesterday and a few of us were staring at a 5K+ lespaul, and one of the guys said "that's a great looking three thousand dollar guitar"
Fender custom shop guitars used to be about 1500, now they are more...
It's not so much about what you get for x$$ but what you are able and willing to pay and the scarcity of the object maybe?
That is to say, the difference between a painting that sells for 1 Million dollars and a painting that sells for 20 thousand dollars is not the price of the paint. Is it even the price of the labor?
Agree with it being the worst burst you've ever seen. It looks worse than the one on my $99 Epiphone LP Special, and that's pretty bad. And what's up with the teardrop shape? I've only seen that on LP style guitars.
Fugly pickguard cut too.
Sounds like that should be the name of the Walter Becker commemorative masterbuilt tele. With all the sarcasm in Steely Dan lyrics I think he would approve.
this is herecy, but I dont like maple necks. I like rosewood.
It is available with a maple neck.
I wouldn't even pay $1 for that thing!!! That's fugly!!! And I agree about the 'burst. That just does not look right in any way.
If i had the money I would buy a Birdland .I would even play it but not a 5 G tele .Teles are great at far lower prices .Birdlands arent .
If they're not going to gig it, why own it?
I think expensive guitars are just made to piss off people on the internet.
What do you call expensive?
My 2 number 1's ( is that even possible?) were 1500 quid ($2k) each.
Pics from last week, Strat is CS, Tele is a 70.
They're for playing.
Appropriate security in place depending on location.
I'd play a $5k guitar live, but is wouldn't leave it in its stand during the interval!
Does anyone here own a Gretsch White Falcon? Is it considered an expensive guitar? Is it just a showpiece, or is it a good, useable guitar?
It’s what John Frusciante used to record Californication. I don’t think I’d ever own one though, too... white
Whatever gets people angry on the internet.
