Hey so I heard that in the recent merger between Twitter and FB, users got mad and started their own non profit social media site with no data mining.
Meanwhile, before all the users abandoned the social media biggies, Twitterbook bought GC as a part of the merger agreement.
Turns out that all the GC customers used twitter and FB for their human connections, and upon discovering their new found social freedom from tyranny, they boycotted GC for about an hour, resulting in FB, Twitter and GC going out of business.

Oh and there seems to be a related but unconfirmed rumor that the white house just disappeared, and all that remains is some sort of giant video projection device, kind of saucer shaped.

This would all be very good news, except I have no issue with GC. Substitute Wally World though, and now we're gettin' somewhere...

Good for you TD, it's a growing trend. I'm with Mark Twain who ( allegedly ) said "If you read the papers you are misinformed, if you don't read you are uninformed. You have to make a choice."

We should all spend less time on the news and more time playing guitar.

    Vigilance.

I can take the bad news.

I'll read your share TD and absorb it like a sponge.

And, when it's time to march - we march.

Yellow Submarine, there I've said it. The song finally has a purpose.

Here’s some good news for you. Buddy Dog’s paw was in so much pain Friday he had to be taken to the emergency vet. After a short visit he was back to running around and chasing his bobo. No broken bones or anything. We just happened to have the cash on hand so we didn’t have to use a credit card to pay. Win win.

    John Prine has the answer...

She was a level-headed dancer on the road to alcohol
And I was just a soldier on my way to montreal
Well she pressed her chest against me
About the time the juke box broke
Yeah, she gave me a peck on the back of the neck
And these are the words she spoke

Blow up your t.v. throw away your paper
Go to the country, build you a home
Plant a little garden, eat a lot of peaches
Try an find jesus on your own

Well, I sat there at the table and I acted real naive
For I knew that topless lady had something up her sleeve
Well, she danced around the bar room and she did the hoochy-coo
Yeah she sang her song all night long, tellin' me what to do

Blow up your t.v. throw away your paper
Go to the country, build you a home
Plant a little garden, eat a lot of peaches
Try an find jesus on your own

Well, I was young and hungry and about to leave that place
When just as I was leavin', well she looked me in the face
I said "you must know the answer."
"she said, "no but I'll give it a try."
And to this very day we've been livin' our way
And here is the reason why

We blew up our t.v. threw away our paper
Went to the country, built us a home
Had a lot of children, fed 'em on peaches
They all found jesus on their own

Unfortunately, a headline that says "Fire kills 5" gets bigger ratings and sells more papers than one that says "Man saves 5 from deadly fire". Remove the profit motive and news would be more balanced and less sensational.

Well, as it turned out, it WAS a trend and a double-overtime barn burner. I am ecstatic! Our freshman quarterback beat their Heisman winner. I thought I’d cheer you up with this great good news!

Seriously, take heart in that bad news seems badder because it's less common. And if it's not where you are, do something about it!
