Wondered if and when this might happen. Thicknessed the neck and the patches of vertical grain tore out on the sides.

Not something I'd like to repair. So.....the maple and Ebony neck initially destined for the hackberry Tele will now go on the plywood Tele.

The 19 unaltered slats weighed 4750g.
After the holes and channels were done it was 3650g.
    With Titebond it was 4000g.
Shaped and sanded (edges and faces) with no cavity routed down to 2500g.

What were you using to thickness the neck?

Table saw as usual to take off 3.5mm between the butt and head. Might have worked better to use the drum sander with a fence like I use to thickness the headstock. Live and learn.

Carved and sanded the backs of the necks and thinned the headstocks to 0.6" with a fence on the drum sander.

Always nice when the hidden tunnels turn out to be where you had hoped they would be. It all seems to fit.

Very good progress. I remember seeing some old Teisco necks made up of laminations. Probably indestructible.

Recesses for cavity covers 1/4"deep. Jack hole drilled. Found the channel to the control cavity. I think that's it for making sawdust. Final weight for the body is 3.81 lbs.

Frets in. Medium high nickel for the Wolf and medium nickel for the Tele. Removed tang barbs at the 22nd fret to prevent the strip between the fret slot and the spoke wheel recess from popping out.

Goal for this guitar was to build it from as many leftover parts as I could get together. A few of the electronics are new but everything else already had in the shop. Four Grover tuners of various colors and two gold Sperzels. Calico?
