Mike Judge’s genius continues to amaze and - I know I saw him on drums with Anson Funderburgh and may have seen him on bass with the great Doyle Bramhall (RIP). Both at Sully’s , both in the very early 90’s.
I have told this before, so I’ll be brief.
I did a minor guitar repair for Mike Judge at my last day job, 10ish years ago.
He was ultra low key, and very nice.
Reminds me of the Chappelle shows True Hollywood Stories with Charlie Murphy..
I’ve been a Mike Judge fan since Beavis and Butthead. Seriously. I think he’s brilliant. Rumor was he played the guitar riff on the B&B theme song.
"I'm Rick James, b****!"
I love that show. Every episode is in our DVR and I've watched them each several times.
I have a really dumb question. Is the guy on the tour bus who introduces the musician being featured an animation of Mike Judge? At first I thought it was a random story telling guy but then I realized that he looks a lot like Mike. Is it like an animated cameo appearance?
It also reminds me of Hank Hill talking and Mike does Hank's voice.
Dude on the tour bus : Mike Judge.
I just saw a Capitol One commercial with "Let's Go Crazy" as the theme music.
Then immediately followed up by a Walmart commercial with "Give It To Me Baby" as the music.
Those are the two best comic sketches ever made. Period.
Rick, Prince, & Charlie Murphy... all recently deceased. Wow.
I second the genius of Judge. KOTH is subtly top shelf.
James Freakin’ Brown!
James Brown Vs Joe Tex
And don't forget Regular Show !
Mike Judge wrote/played the music on that, too.
Did some of my finest parenting with the Regular Show
