Very nice! Happy Holidays to you as well!
It looks good !!!
Happy holidays Andre and all forum members!
The build is looking great! Have a great Christmas Andre and don't eat too much tortiere!
I had to look that one up. . Sounds good...well made with domesticated meat anyway.... You think the recipe would have trickled down this way as it's only about 6 hours to Quebec from here. I made a homemade chicken pot pie yesterday...its in the same vein I guess.
The neck is on!!
the paint is on!!!
Its ON ON ON!, Whoo Hooo!
I spent a few Christmases in Montreal with an old girlfriend and her family and went crazy over the stuff. Pretty simple meat pie but very tasty. It's one of those things where every family has their own recipe.
Thank you all!
Richard, too late for the tourtière, started to abuse last night.
There is two kind of tourtière in the province.
The first one is called la Tourtière du Lac St-Jean where it originated. That is mix of meat cubes that is cooked many hours in the oven with a pie like top. Some have up to 7 different kinds of meat in them.
Lac St-Jean is the biggest fresh water lake in Quebec. Easy to find on a map. look in the middle of the province.
The other one which is a lot more popular in the south of the province is Tourtière. Which is a meat pie made with ground beef and ground pork mixed with spices in a pie. This is a traditional meal at Christmas and new years family reunion. Like Richard said, every family has it's own secret recipe.
What, no holiday poutine?
Why have holiday Poutine when you can have it all the time
I prefer my Poutine without the gravy and fries....
That’s the way I feel about French Fries !
Rick, I could eat french fries three times a day.
Spent the last 4 days, scraping
and doing touch ups
Until I was happy.
Shot the first clear lacquer coat.
Have to dial down the sprayer a little bit, getting runs again.
Will spray 10 to 15 coats over the next three days.
Will not make any updates until next year, so Happy New Year to all! May it bring you health and happiness.
Wow, I'm running out of ways to say how great that is coming along, Bonne Anne'e, Andre!
Wow, that b/w/b binding really looks sharp! See you next year, Andre, and all good wishes for you and your family as well!
That looks great! Can you post a link of the items you used that melted together with acetone? I tried it just once with binding I had here and acetone didn't work. Happy New Year to you as well!
The binding and the guitar looking awesome ,jaw fall!!!
Happy New Year to you and your people Andre!
Thank you Everyone for the kind words and warm wishes.
Marty, I bought ABS binding from Bezdez on Ebay.
Here's one link of the stuff I bought:
I use the same binding but different color. Works great with acetone.
Looks great Andre! Happy New Year!
