That is an understatement. I'm working on my Ferarri red shot next...
Lighting and photos make a huge difference. Here are two pictures taken in natural light with the same camera three minutes apart.
This is Seafoam Green, the back shot is more true to life on my monitor.
What Tele is this?.......A 62 ri?.....
Surf green all the way!!!
A blonde and a surf green. The pictures don't do justice to the color. I like the "CYANer" color of the surf green. Surf green with a parchment guard!! Think "57 chevy"!
actually, I remeber now,(senile moment) that is a mint guard on the surf green and parchment on the blonde
Wow!! Awhile back I was jonesin' for something surf or seafoam but thought I got that out of my system..........this thread disproved that. Some mighty beautiful greens, guys.
Oh, the exquisite pain of it all.
I've been GASsing for a seafoam green tele for quite awhile now. Hopefully some day.
These have been some beautiful guitars.
You can check out the COA in my gallery. It is a 1960's relic but the finish was not reliced. Only the bridge plate, tuners, neck pickup cover and strap buttons were slightly reliced. I seem to think this one pre dates the closet classics if only by a slim margin. I don't think it is a Cunetto but I need to take a peak under the hood to find out. My guess is that it is Fender's in house relicing as Cunetto was winding down. I picked it up in 2000 from my then co-worker/teacher for $1600. She is a keeper.
Guitar ReRanch question
[i'm new here]
Guitar ReRanch's sea foam / surf green color products.
are these colors in bottles or spray cans ?
what size are they ? 12 oz. ? 16 oz. ?
cannot find this info on their site.
btw, wow this stuff is real expensive !!!
NEVER MIND...I FOUND THE INFO I WAS LOOKING FOR
This geezer is GREEN with envy!
Too nice to be true!
He has a huge problem....
That couch is just not big enough!
Can someone tell me what model of SD neck pickup that is? I've got the bridge one, but I need a neck pu just like that to finish a build. Thanks. Superb guitar, by the way!
I was never really a huge fan of the seafoam or surf green colors, but for my build it was either NOS Krylon "antique white" or "tidepool" and I don't like white guitars so I went with the "tidepool" hesitantly...
I'm glad I did, I love it now...a very light color compared to some of them but it is just enough...
I liked the WD version, I forget what they called it Evergreen maybe?
i owned a '67 tele that i bought thinking it was sea foam- i found it had an overspray & was in fact a much nicer color under the spray. My bud, saul Koll, removed the overspray & you can see it was much nicer. in the end i didn't love it as much as i thought i did & a guy from the hives bought it. for Bigsby goodness i now use my Koll.
after overspray was removed
A little bit of both, maybe?
Brendan....what is the guitar with the P90s? Never seen one of those before.
I put Reranch in the same category as Callaham. I am all for Capitalism, but when your customers need prep H after a purchase, you get crossed off my list first. Just like I refuse to pay 69 cents a lb for banannas a the store. If you don't show that you refuse to pay such prices, blah blah blah...
That said, who ever else chooses to do so will receive no critisism from me for doing so. But for myself, I just won't so it, period.
That is one hell of a collection.
