With the neck bolted on , the action is really low there is some buzzing , i will have to wait because i would need to put the tuner ferules in to do a proper test. The bridge design is awful at holding stings i will have to install string trough ferules .

    Best regards

I have learned something , the pink color the camera was picking up is now gone .

So this was my first try at making paint from lacquer and pigment , at first i did not know if it would be opaque , the guy at karma pigment show me that its the type of pigment i choose that will make it translucent . I first thought i could get away with a thick layer of color layer since i used a brush to put it on , It was messy and need a incredible amount of wet sanding was needed and it looked like the paint frm budget Gibson like on the melody maker , that give me the idea of using a paint roll next time . I told my self if i could get away buffing the color and not putting on clear on it since its the same lacquer anyway .

So i did , the pictures up there is exactly that i sanded trough the color in many spots , so i added 2 more color layer and clear on top about 5 days ago , first thing i noticed was the pink color is gone , i am pretty happy about that .

I also rounded off the edges of the pickguard so it would look more authentic .

There is a trick i use before starting to paint , i put candle wax in the holes and in the neck pocket .
When i am done i can wet sand without being scared of raising the grain from the water . It also leaves the neck pocket clean , its so easy to remove .

    Best regards

    Marc
