    Hello all,

I need to resurrect my E series Squier Telecaster. (It's a Long Story)
I'm interested in Esquire wiring. So losing the neck pickup and installing a new bridge pickup. Looking for tone rather than volume. I like Pete Anderson's work with Dwight Yoakam.
Any recommendations for a bridge pickup?

    Thanks!
    Daniel

I'm kinda like a skipping record, (you know, the vinyl type).....check out Bootstrap Pickups. USA made, great sound, super customer service, fast delivery, and great price.....just about everything except making your teeth whiter! ;)

Best way is try a few pickups and let your guitar tell you what it likes. I esquired and old Rondo tele and it loved the CV 50's A3 bridge pickup. Other good ones were the Keystone and the Dimarzio Area T 615. Good luck in your quest!

Strangely, I found a pickup in a box of unused bits, picks, wires, etc.
Being no good with a soldering iron and having no time to develop that skill, I've taken it to my friend, Etienne Van Hove near Laon.
I've asked him to reverse the control plate, cut off (but not remove) the neck pick-up, install the mystery bridge pickup, and wire for Esquire settings.
Will report back on the results.
    :)
