ll good suggestions...but for little bones the GFS Alinico 2s and 64 grey bottoms give you that singing bell tone and no volume loss on 2 and 4.

I am partial to the flatpole design. The results always speak volumes. Everybody that tries them agrees. If you're interested I'd love to wind you up a set!

+1 on the SSL1s. I had a set in one of my strats and they gave the most amazing bell like tones.

Another vote for CS69's. I put a set in my 2000 MIM and they sound awesome. Way better than the stock pickups. I put Texas Specials in prior and didn't like them. No chime.

It's full, defined, not shrill but warm! Looks like it hits the checklist for OP. :p

No one said: EMG DG20's. No much more bell like or clear than those.

I build the equivalent of Dennis Gilmours Strat (Black one). Super clean and bell like.

Bell like tones? I passed on them as a choice for the 57/62 instead based on wanting crisp, clean and chime. I thought I had read the Fat 50s had quite a bit of hair on them.

Your probably right, not so "vintage" like tones from the CS FAT 50's.

I guess i am hung up on the 'Fat' designation.

There was a time i wanted to get them to see what there response is like. But stopped at the 57/62s.

    OK.
