Played a friends old 3-saddle tele and gotta confess that I prefer the 6 saddle cause it's so much easier to tune (don't hate me, just my experience). I found a few great sites for hand-tooled aftermarket saddles, looking into my options for material (brass, steel, aluminum). Wanting to capture that "Bakersfield" tone that loved growing up. Anybody know of any aftermarket 6 saddle bridges for an American Standard Telecaster? While I found several sites for saddles, I haven't found anybody who makes aftermarket bridges in any materials other than brass and stainless steel. I'd much prefer rolled steel like the Fenders of old. I'm thinking that once I put in my Lollar Alnico 3 pickups and some new saddles I'll get a lot closer to the tone I'm seeking and likely won't need a new bridge plate. Still, if I could find a 6 saddle bridge made of rolled steel it would be the icing on the cake! BTW, I'd like to thank everybody for all the info I've found here on the forum. I've been lurking for a month before I bought my Tele and the knowledge shared is greatly appreciated.
