    Understandable.
I don't mean to be offensive or insensitive to anyone or anybody's culture, or start an argument on here.
It's just that being a WASP myself, I'm REALLY getting tired of being told I'm a rascist, homophobic, intolerant jerk, when nothing could be further from the truth. Heck, I'm going to an Indian (from India) Cultural Festival with my daughter tomorrow. People don't know me. Two of my best friends on the planet are an African American buddy of mine AND a police officer who happens to be lesbian. When I see someone spewing the PC BS telling me how I should behave, just because I'm white, I've gotten to where it REALLY gets my 'hackles' up, and I don't mind calling people out for it. Yeah, my ancestors did some horrible things. EVERYBODY"S ancestors have done horrible things.
I don't go around expecting to be treated special because my Irish ancestors were treated badly when they arrived here in the U.S. and if anyone wants to make fun of my culture, go right ahead!
We are all funny knuckleheads at times aren't we?

Getting off my soapbox, now. Gonna try and keep it to myself.

Carry on, let's get back to the OPs subject, everyone have FUN, and have a GREAT DAY.

    PEACE!

When I awoke, the Dire Wolf, six hundred pounds of sin,
Was grinning at my window, all I said was "Come on in".

scrimmer, why do you assume people here know you're white?
I mean, I for one didn't know that, until you announced it to us all.

Is it possible you maybe have a bit of a chip on your shoulder, there? And are just waiting for a chance to get your defenses up? Kinda like you accuse others of waiting for a chance to spring their PC-ness on you?

Sincerely, I'm not trying to provoke you, I am wondering though whether you've considered this angle. I think self-awareness is always a good thing

Actually I guess I DO have a chip on my shoulder now, correct. And it got there from having to put up with WAY too much PC in EVERY facet of life!
You raise a very valid point and I honestly considered that before I posted that last statement. I just felt I needed to let know where I'm coming from.
I'm intelligent enough to be self aware and realize that I don't hold any moral ground really, and the people that do, really tick me off.

We can't even go on a forum and have some fun w/o someone telling us how we're suppossed to behave, because of political correctness.
PC is ruining every damn thing across the world and taking the fun out of being human IMHO.
No, I don't assume anyone here knows anything about my race.

Yes, I'll try and remove the chip, but it's people who make these asinine statements that put it there.

I'm trying to be honest with myself here. I guess this all started with me when I had someone call me a racist to my face recently over the stupidest thing ever.
Sorry to come and take it out on folks here, which I guess I just did.

EDIT: Hey, no harm, no foul everyone. King Creole I meant no real disrespect to you.
Everyone's entitled to their own opinion, and I guess you guys just had to listen to a
little to much of mine today. PEACE!

No more comments on this subject from me in this thread here starting now.

The former is not a necessary qualifier for the latter. plenty of very intelligent people run around with zero clue when it comes to self-awareness. Not implying this applies to anyone

When you react to other people's jibes, you are doing exactly what they want. I either react one of two ways when someone throws an insult at me, I either ignore them completely or tell them to blow it out their butt. At either rate, once I've done whichever I think is appropriate, I don't think about it anymore. When I drove a big rig, I knew guys who developed ulcers from reacting to stupid drivers. When someone cut me off, I took evasive action, and that was the end of it. I also refused to get caught up in hurrying. When I'd leave Long Beach and head back towards Bakersfield I'd see guys in other trucks belching smoke and sliding tires trying to get ahead of traffic. By the time we got out to the big Jewish cemetery towards the end of the valley, I'd be within five hundred feet of guys who were killing themselves fighting traffic and I would be relaxed. I have repeatedly told the forum that I am seldom ever serious about anything that I write, it's a take it or leave it deal. I don't care whether I'm believed or not, since I really don't care about much of anything to the extent I want to get worked up about it.

kelnet, i'm gonna assume you're also one of those Chuck Berry non-appreciators .
    It's okay.

Rock n roll isn't for everyone, and there's plenty of Kenny G stuff out there, I hear

kelnet, this is just for you. Can you ever be this cool? Of course not. None of us can.

Just so you know, Link Wray is a legend. Not the King , but very influential in Rock and Roll.

You know if he just played that one song all of the time, it shouldn't have been THAT hard for his old lady to learn to play the tambourine to it.

Yeah, I know who Link Wray is. He's the greatest one-hit-wonder of all time, isn't he?
