    Just had a closer look, after comparing to the OP's pics in the red strat, they seem to be the real deal.

    Just a few photos. The painting turned into a nightmare, and the result was a) too expensive and b) unsatisfactory, thanks to an orange-peel finish. The good news is that you don’t really notice it unless you’re in good light, and looking for it.

    The guitar is great! Still needs a little nut work, and I’m troubleshooting an electrical problem that manifested while transplanting the entire pickguard from the donor Strat. There may also be some intonation trouble. Despite this, it plays well.
