From quibbling about yet another Fender copy being unacceptable to die hard Fender and Squier fans, to quibbling over Mexico, the US and Canada being a part of the continent of North America?

A butt ugly headstock needs no country of origin anyhow.
They do look nice with a dark veneer, something from Central or South America.
North American maple looks best on real Fenders, and Squiers of course.

    Not silly!

    What were we discussing again?
The skin color of a PRS headstock face?

Why not? Life is short. Most things are inconsequential.

To be clear, someone claimed that Mexico and Canada were part of America (clearly not getting the North America vs United States of America difference). Maybe he's still attached to that whole Manifest Destiny thing.

Maple does look nice, but does a Pau Ferro fretboard make a Fender an import?

Dunno, read on the TDPRI today that a Hyundai is 85% made in USA, while Toyota and Honda are only 75% US.
Plus the weather report was wrong again.
Oh yeah and next weekend a bunch of imported workers from Vietnam will be refinishing the floors where I work, and then in a few weeks another set of workers will be shipped in from Jamaica.
    So, yes, I think so.

Back to the original question of the red tele (which I know isn't real). I'm neither a PRS or Mayer "hater", and I haven't bothered to comment on any of the numerous Silver Sky threads because it simply doesn't matter to me. But putting that on a Tele is where I draw the line...lol jk.

Seriously though, I'm not offended by it, but for my taste that headstock looks especially silly on a telecaster. It would have to be the greatest playing guitar in the world for me to even consider buying one...even then it would have to be at a great discount.

We're still allowed to not like stuff, right?

around 600 to 800 max. I havent found used usa prs in that range. Ive got a highway one and an American standard both in that price range. My favorite prs is the dgt. I wish they would make a korean one.

I'm building a reverse Tele-master with a 3x3 headstock, I'm afraid I'll be banned from here if I post it.

No do it, it sounds cool, but preface things with a trigger warning for the sensitive members.

Good idea, thanks! I'm pretty excited about it, going with low-wind Bakersfield/Lion Cavalier pickups and a USACG neck. Just waiting for the paint to be done.

By reverse Tele-master do you mean a reversed Jazzmaster body?

Yes, with tele bridge and neck pickups with a hotdog control route.

Will do; hopefully I'll get the body back soon. I took the easy route and sent it out for paint, I don't have the time or patience to do it right myself.
