Looking for stuff that isn't traditionally surf stuff-

I'm developing the band with the bass player. Guitar (me), bass, drums, trumpet, and keys.
We've got a few trad surf tunes in the mix (Walk Don't Run, Wipeout, Black Sand Beach, Hawaii 5-O and that one's a workout, wow) And a few surfy tunes including a workup of the Munsters theme, Tequila, ...but what I'm interested in is taking non-surf tunes and working them up into cool surfy instrumentals. My ideas are Billy Idol's Rebel Yell, Chris Isaak Wicked Game, Flock of Seagulls" I Ran"...
Any other ideas of tunes that might work well in this vein?

    Thanks!

Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf has some great simple melodies that could be turned to surf tunes beautifully.

Harlem Nocturne. Gatton did it, but my favorite version is by The Viscounts.

Thanks guys, I should also point out that I'm looking primarily for well-loved pop-rock tunes that are already in everyone's collective consciousness, where like 80% of any given crowd would be like "Oh, yeah, THAT one! Cool!" in recognition. Especially ones with a good groove

Having typed that, "Secret Agent Man" comes to mind

As stated, we've already got Wipeout.

Oh yeah, we're also doing "Miserlou" among the trad surf stuff. What fun that is to play!

I like your ideas. I've always wanted to do Hank Marvin's instrumental of riders in the sky somewhere other than my bedroom... He also does while my guitar gently weeps and it's just too cool.

Walking on Sunshine by Katrina and the Waves would make a good instrumental I think.

Love Theme From The Godfather. But straighter and tougher than the Satan's Pilgrm's version:

Saturday Night At The Duck Pond is a surf/instro version of the main theme from Swan Lake:

    These:

And if you're picking can handle it:

I've done Taylor Swift's "Shake It Off" as a surf tune, and it worked pretty well. The themes from the Flintstones, Gilligan's Island, Seinfeld, etc., weave their way into my improvised solos pretty often. You could try a driving version of "I'm a Little Teapot."
