I just thought of this one. I have this in the car right now.
Jan Akkerman is an astounding guitar/lute player.
There’s beautiful guitar playing on the entire Moving Waves album.
I forget how much I liked this quirky/virtuosic band.
Good thing the first take worked out. Everyone in the room probably couldn’t hear s**t after that!
It's not sick, but it is brilliant.
Roger wailed on this.
A couple Steely Dan tunes with very tasty guitar work by Larry Carlton. The guitar work on The Royal Scam album is stellar all the way around.
One more (Michael Bloomfield on lead guitar):
I believe that would be Paul Kossoff.
It IS Bloomfield with Joplin.
Solo at the start, this song still rocks. Never hear it on the radio anymore. Thank goodness I don't need radio.
Good to know, thanks.
Here’s my (sorta) Bloomfield tribute Les Paul.
It’s a 2005 “faded” model, with a “Les Paul” (SG) truss rod cover, like MB’s.
Great player, Mr. B, too!
PS. Bloomfield & Joplin
Elliot Easton is a brilliant guitarist and deserves a lot more credit than he gets. This is one of my favorites.
Gotta have some Angus in there. I’ll go with TNT. Short, sweet, and rockin’.

I was forced to learn this solo when my bandmates insisted on doing this song (puke). But it's a really good solo, and I'm really glad I learned it.
