As we now have this new forum just for our home-brew guitars let's see what you've got...

Show us a picture or two and list the specs....

I'll get the ball rolling (even though I've posted these pics a bunch before)

One piece lightweight Swamp Ash USACG body,
Boat contour Maple neck, 6105 frets, 7.25 also USACG.
    Nitro finish.
    Glendale hardware.
    Don Mare Don-O-Casters
    Custom headstock decal.

Two piece lightweight Swamp Ash USACG body,
USACG's '63 contour neck maple, dark rosewood fingerboard, 6105 frets, 7.25 radius.
    Nitro finish.
    Glendale hardware.
    Don Mare Zep-O-Tones.
    Custom headstock decal

Chambered Indian Rosewood body (Warmoth). Thin gloss urethane finish.
One piece rosewood C shape unfinished neck, 7.25 radius, 6105 frets.
    Callaham hardware
    Lindy Fralin stock tete pickups.
This one now has my custom decal too (after this photograph was taken)

Close up of my decal (it's the English translation of my last name)

USACG has great stuff. Look at the headstock grain in this quatersawn neck from them. Rob is a great. Like your Tele's.

Rutters pine body, finished with black Colortone dye and Tru-Oil
Warmoth 10-16" compound radius, boatneck contour, also finished in Tru-oil
    Rutters chopped bridge
    Gotoh kluson-style staggered locking tuners
    TVJ Classic+ PU

If I was doing it again, I'd only change the neck radius and contour; I've come to realize that I prefer 9.5" and a modern C-shaped neck.

The neck has darkened nicely under the T-O in the 3 years since this pic was taken.

After reading the entire Emeraldcaster thread, I'm starting to look around on my wall for something to sparkle-ize; this one's a prime candidate. Might be red sparkle next time you see it....

posted before, but somewhat lost in the new format

    • MiJ Alder body from the '80s that started out like this
    • stripped, sprayed with Nitro without much effort to hide accumulated dings and divots
    • '80s Schecter 22 fret Rosewood neck
    • DiMarzio Twang King neck & bridge, '80s DiMarzio Strat-style middle pickups
    • Fender 3 saddle bridge (not shown, vintage ashtray cover)
    • Nashville-style 3 ply pickguard
    • 5 way switch wired a bit differently to keep the Tele-style neck + bridge and Strat-style middle + neck sounds: B, B+N, N, M+N, M
    • Glendale pots and PiO capacitor
    • MiJ Kluson-style tuners
    • Electrosocket & Switchcraft jack
    • old control plate I had laying around reversed

I'm still fiddling with it, the pickguard needs to move towards the neck a bit more.

I'm going to replace the nickel pickup adjustment bolts with black ones, to make the middle pickup a bit more stealthy.

When does a partscaster no longer get to be called a partscaster? When it's no longer a copy/replica/tribute?

I still have these and use them daily/weekly:

    First I ever made.
    USACG 1pc swamp ash body
Musikraft superflame neck (has warped twice in 4 years)
    Fender hardware, CTS/CRL/Luxe wiry bits
    Don Mare Tweed Monster pickup
Fender headstock and logo (I was young and folish)

    Second I ever made.
USACG 1pc swamp ash body, tummy and forearm carve
USACG rosewood board on maple neck
Original super-limited Stainless Strate-Plate Glendale bridge
    Fender hardware, CTS/CRL/Luxe wiry bits
    Duncan lil '59 bridge
Neck varies from no pickup (Esquire), P90 or dual Tele neck pickups wired like a Strat

    Tried my hand at relicing..
    Musikraft swamp ash body
    Musikraft quartersawn maple neck
    Fender hardware, CTS/CRL/Luxe wiry bits
PIctured with Don Mare Zep-O-Tone but now with Duncan hot rails
    Duncan '59 neck

    After I got adventurous...
    USACG 1pc swamp ash body
USACG maple board on maple neck
Original super-limited humbucker Glendale bridge (never seen another like it)
    Fender hardware, CTS/CRL/Luxe wiry bits
    Gibson Iommi bridge
    Gibson P94 neck

    Got the Strat bug...
    USACG swamp ash body
USACG rosewood board on maple neck
    Callaham bridge
    Fender hardware, CTS/CRL/Luxe wiry bits
Custom built Gilmour-spec pickups by Chevalier

    Everyone needs 7 strings...
Made by me swamp ash body
Made by me rosewood board on maple neck
    ABR bridge
    Glendale hardware, CTS/CRL/Luxe wiry bits
Custom built pickup by Vintage Vibe (Pete Biltoft)

    Partscaster? I dunno...
Made by me swamp ash body
Made by me rosewood board on torrefied maple neck
    Rutters hardware, CTS/CRL/Luxe wiry bits
Bridge and neck P90s by Michael Reilander

Built a bunch from scratch for people.
I've got a few others but I don't play them much.

Probably not the thread for this discussion, but I personally don't like the term "partscaster". It seems to be the name thrown around to describe any Fender like guitar that isn't 100% factory stock. A term used more for resale value than an actual guitar description. I believe the guitars that you have put together here are so much better than 90% of what come out of the Fender factory these days. It's a shame that some label like partscaster will turn away some people from really appreciating the quality of what you have.
Amazing collection you have there btw.
