There a little less Squier left of it than when I got it but as far as I'm concerned it's still a modified CVC. Keystones, 4-way switching, compensated saddles, Warmoth pickguard, and the neck from a Nashville Deluxe.

From the left to the right:

    • VM Custom II - 2011 Vintage Blonde
    • Standard - 2000? Sunburst
    • Affinity - 2014 Butterscotch Blonde, string through
    • Standard - 2011 Black
    • VM Thinline - 2007 Black
    • VM Custom - 2007 Black

    • Bullet? Affinity? - 2000?
You probably wouldn't tell by looking at the pictures, but I'm not really fond on black for guitars... But since I bought all but one second hand, you have to take what you can get...

All of them are as stock as they can be, though I plan a few upgrades:

    • electronics on the Thinline and one of the standards (both have some grounding issues, so I'll take it on all at once sometime this winter)
    • the VM Custom and VM Custom II get new knobs (barrel type)
    • I'll probably replace the pickups on the sunburst standard. For some reason they are not up to spec with the other standard... I heard good things about Tonerider Vintage pickups, but I'm not sure yet. This guitar will get a different set of strings then too (Nashville tuning) (ordered them today)
Now I prefer the VM Custom II the most (I love that P90 sound), followed by the Thinline (nice, warm and shorter scale) and the Affinity (sounds a bit thinner than the Thinline :D, but plays like butter... Love the weight and body thickness too). At the moment my least favourite is the VM Custom, because I haven't had the time to set it up properly, so it is a bit hard to play. Sometime this winter, that will be solved as well...

I hope to add a CVC (sunburst) and another Affinity (hopefully in red) to the family...

The Squier Standard neck is beefier than the necks on the CV 50's BSB, CVC and White Blonde, but slightly smaller than the neck on the CV Thinline.
