I did a search and after the 5th page I didn't find anybody starting a thread like this. I've seen No. 1s, Highways, Squiers, etc. but not partscasters. There are some pics on the gallery but I think some pics are hosted elsewhere like Photobucket and other forums.

Personally, I would really like to build a couple or more partscasters and would really benefit from the vast experience of this forum.

Pics would be great. Some specs and brief details of the body, neck, pickups and hardware.

    I'll start.

My first and only (but not last) partscaster.

A standard black body I bought from eBay sometime last year. The person I bought it from claimed it is a US body but I doubt it. I think the body is Alder.

Neck is a Fender MIM Modern C shaped maple fretboard.

Pickups are custom Brierlys which is local to Australia. These pickups are hot and a bit darker sounding which I like. Not much twang.

Bridge is Gotoh 6 saddle which I'm planning to replace with Wilkinson Brass compensated one. CTS pots and CRL switch. 3 ply black pickguard.

This Tele is suited more for Rock and Ballads but not metal.

Here's my only partscaster at the moment. A nasty RI Antigua

This was pre-assembled at a local shop, then I took it apart and put it back again. I studied how it was built and then intonated it myself.

There is a volume difference between the neck & bridge pup. I just adjusted the pup height to compensate.
The P90 brings a lot of twang in the middle position.

    Specs:
    CIJ Antigua body
CIJ neck (from a paisley tele), fat C shaped
    3-ply pickguard
    Lindy Fralin pups
    Wilkinson bridge
CTS pots and bumble bee cap (0.05uf)
Standard Tele wiring (no treble bleed cap)

After I got this tele, I changed all the pots, caps & switches of my other teles.
I still have some other partscaster projects pending.

Started life as a '66 Esquire

When I got it a few years back it looked like this:

I've since changed a few things...

Refinned it in Sherwood Green Metallic.

Sold the Esquire neck and replaced it with a USACG maple/maple that is more me.

Now it looks like this, sorta.

I refinished the neck with Tru-Oil since this pic.

    Now it's sporting:

    Parsons-White B-Bender #11

    Vintique Bridge & Knobs.

Don Mare special bridge pickup - amazing

Fender CS Nocaster neck pickup - sounds great too

4 way switch, RS volume pot & cap. ( *I* can tell a difference )

Ultra secret clean boost that works off the pull pot that is also the tone knob.

I did most of the finish work & assembly & wiring & setup.

A friend built the booster. I have no clue what's in it. It sounds pretty nifty though.

#1 is USACG body, MIM Burton neck, with Barden pickups. 6.0 lbs
    [IMG]

#2 is an unknown ash body from eBay, Warmoth Std Thin Pro neck, with Don Mare pickups (2324 neck, Green Onions bridge). I knew the body was light, but couldn't believe it when this tele also weighed in at 6.0 lbs, and this one doesn't have a U-rout like #1.

Sherman Tate Body, stained & Danish Oil
MIJ 60's RI Neck, via Ebay
Kinman PU's - really quiet and sound great.
F Bigsby - got the measurements & holes drilled by local luthier...
Still to do: Rockinger bar for Bigsby, to replace string pins with standard pull-thru holes.

Sounds lovely, but obviously it's my baby, so of course I'd think that...

    Here's my latest.....

2005 MIM with Wilkinson bridge, Glendale saddles (aluminum E/A), GFS 'Lil Punchers in both positions, and a Warmoth 5-screw flat black guard.......

Half a business card in the neck pocket and this is the best playing Telecaster I have ever put my hands on!

This is one of the only single coil parts Teles I've put together.

What's shown in this incarnation is a Warmoth neck and body, Fender bridge & saddles, GFS repro pickups, 1meg pots w/treble bleed cap.

This guitar is taken apart right now. Haven't really decided what to do with it, but better pickups are in order. I was in the process of turning it into a Fat Tele, but I don't particularly need a Fat Tele. I'm thinking of getting some pickups by this guy http://www.joebarden.com/ Word is that he makes good pickups.
