    Remember this? http://www.tdpri.com/forum/telecast...-your-la-cabronita-clones-27.html#post5332301

Well, i´ve changed it a little...

Now it´s a proper Cab type build: Tele shaped pauwlonia body Olympic White nitro finished, maple neck/fingerboard with reverse headstock, Rutters half bridge, Callaham compensated brass saddles, Hipshot staggered open back tuners, volume and pickup selector, no pickguard.

And the pickups... i´ll not use those Vintage Vibes but a set of early 70s Gretsch Hilotrons.

    Now it´s a REAL Cabronita!

It´s not finished yet, i´ll post pictures once it´s finished, maybe next month.

Cool! Both of them definitely have a vibe going, althought it's not so much a "classic vibe" anymore, haha ;)

Here it is. pauwlonia body, Olympic White nitro finish, maple neck/fingerboard w/reverse headstock, Rutters "La Burrito" half cut bridge, Callaham compensated brass saddles, Hipshot staggered open back tuners, volume and pickup selector, no pickguard.

Oh, the pickups... A couple of early 70s Gretsch Hilotrons.

Just finished this one last night...

    Mary Kay body from Warmoth

MIJ Fender neck from a RI '51 Pawn Shop Tele/strat

    TV Jones Powertron

Bourns pots with Emerson caps (I know, I know, caps are caps. But WTH?, I had already spent about $1200 on this thing, why not another $10 for really cool looking caps.) - Also added a tone bleed, which really makes the volume more useful.

And these really cool open back Schaller tuners where you push the string through and it locks. (see pic) It took a second to figure out how to use them, but after that they are super quick and stable. - I really recommend these tuners.

Anyway, all I need now is a white strap to complete the white on white on white motif.... I think this guitar will really look cool on stage. Something about white guitars on stage really pop.

PS: No idea how to rotate the photos correctly.?.?.?.

And a special THANK YOU to all the TDPRI'ers that helped me out on this one.

Easy way out: Squier Cab $250 at GC (trade, they wouldn't give me more than $235 for a 2001 Mex Strat I savaged ($150), but they would trade me a Squier Cab for it). $250 as the price of the Cab is what they wrote up on the trade.

It was weird buying an inexpensive guitar that required only the slightest intonation adjustment for my standard strings (EXL 110W), everything else was spot on.

Here's mine, Father's Day present! It came with a couple dings but I figure it fell off the hanger or stand at the store or had a shipping issue. It looked very much unplayed. The price was definitely right!

Update: Bridge swap on WB Cabronita

Here´s a pic of my MIM WB Cabronita after swapping the original bridge to an Axecaster Hardtail Hipshot style bridge.

The Surf Green one next to it got the same bridge after this pic was taken.

Curious about your electronics. I see the treble-bleed (orange cap and resistor) and the tone cap (yellow .022). What do the blue cap and resistor hiding behind it do?
