Mine. Love it!
You don't see those NYLON bridge saddles anymore from Gibson since they switched to metal. Are those original (they DO look it) or after-market change out?
My 2015 50s tribute playing pickup mule after a bunch of Pup iterations. I've worked out a rodded P90 recipe that really sings!
2013 50s tribute. Love the neck. LOVE the P90s.
'65 Pelham Blue Jr.
Stunning guitar! Love the way the Pelham Blue has taken on a greenish hue. Would be interesting to know what percentage of SGs from that period had that finish. Less than 5% percent I suspect.
Thanks! I don't have any numbers, but yeah, I think the percentage is quite low. It seems to be more common in the SG-style Melody Makers starting in '66, though.
2012 Gibson SG Classic. Resonant, lightweight, raunchy.
No SG's but here's a '61 Les Paul Jr. and my hybrid I call the SGuire in Korina.
For years I have desired a black 61 reissue style SG similar to the one Angus Young has been playing these days onstage.I found this limited edition for 2017 one and jumped on it before they are gone. Here she is next to my beloved 2013 SG standard(which is pretty much a 61 reissue except for the slightly smaller headstock and added split coil capability):
Anyone tried one of those 24 fret SGs?
My 2014 anniversary model has 24 but i don't really play past the 15th.
Actually they are Tusq saddles!!! I bought somewhere in ebay. I always do a little sanding with a small file to get them comfortable when using a Tuneomatic.
The tusq saddles with the wide range pickups make the SG sound really fat but keeping the highs
The saddles on my 1976 Yamaha SG are nylon and sound great. There's no sign of wear either. They should see me out!
My 2017 Gibson SG Standard in ebony
2013 SGJ with added Bobbin Toppers and pickguard.
2001 SG Gothic with ebony fretboard. I added the black schaller strap locks, black Gibson knobs, and Bareknuckle Abraxas pickups.
here is my 2017 faded worn brown-it was photographed by gibson for AMS ads- so if you have a catalog or seen the model online- it was this one.
