It's an All Parts pickguard that probably would fit standard SG's, but on this model the space between the pickups is slightly more narrow than the standard, so yes I had to file off some plastic to fit it.

deja vu all over again. Seems like I've posted this before, but hey, at least not in this thread, AFAIK.

1985. Not an especially great year for the Gibson. but this has stood the test of time. Has the slightly oversized headstock and the economically sensible rectangular inlays on the fb.

Originally got it for my daughter, she was playing in a punk band. she relic'd it for me, a little.

Maybe 6 years ago? I replaced the neck pickup with the P-94 - humbucker sized P-90. sounds good. Plenty rock.

1991 3-knobber, cat-poop yellow. Bought it new at Buzzo in Geneseo NY in 91 and it has survived a lot since then. I've since put Lollar humbuckers in it, really made this guitar amazingly better.

    Here's my 1966 Jr.
I traded a no name bass for it. It was covered in thick, black house paint, and I took her to a specialist and had it restored
    to it's nitro beauty.
Lost some value, but totally salvaged the guitar and made it a player.
    ALL electronics are 100% original.

As the tuners were changed for another type, I added some that I prefered from Gibson, dind't opt for the Jr style with white plastic buttons. Went the tulip route.

The body had been filled with plywood for some reason. Not sure if the original trem broke out or if they were trying to make it into a hard tail. Idiots nearly killed her.

We matched some mahogany and took care of her...got vintage everything on it now.

Sorry for the pix, they didn't upload in the right order.
Regardless, you'll notice the other abomination was that they used bond-o to fit the neck in place.
We couldn't remove that, but it's not going anywhere. Thing is super strong. Angle was slightly off, but
we fixed that in the setup with the bigsby and such so it has a super low action and no buzzing anywhere.
Original frets are surprisingly smooth and not pitted.

My 2012 50's Tribute SG. cost me £175.00 from my local pawn shop in mint condition. Only thing I have changed since this picture was taken is the TRC to a custom ebony one with custom inlaid MOP wolf and moon. This is one of my main goto guitars.
