Never teach your dog to shoot selfies
Gotta' love these Disney threads. Here's Lily after a long day at the beauty salon.
Max. Just turned15. His time is coming soon though, and I am not ready.
I just picked up this little rascal this weekend. Named him Bandit.
So far so good! Lots of fun. My first german shepherd!
Here's Dixie. She's 11 now. Great dog.
g'dang, I love all these dogs! This type thread seems to repeat from time to time, and I love that.
I'd posted in February about the loss of our beloved Fiona. I do miss that dog - there's was something in her abject total excitement when I got her leash out that was just hilarious every
time she did it. And after each walk, when I'd open the door to let her back in, she wouldn't just amble in, nope, she'd leap in with all the joy you could imagine.
anyway, my wife didn't wait very long. Could have waited a bit more, but she loves the cattle dogs so much and she was scouting through a cattle dog rescue website and found the story of 3 cattle dogs that had been abandoned, outdoors on a small ranch west of Waco.
So by the first week of March, we had a new dog, Lilou. Having been abandoned and left to her own devices with two other dogs, then kept at a foster ranch, she has presented a few challenges. Fortunately, my wife is there with her all day long, so she's coming along, slowly, slowly. She has most definitely bonded with my wife. Since I'm only there on the weekends, it's been a little slower with me. I don't have many pictures just yet, but here's Lilou:
and of course, my main man, my forever buddy Gibson still sleeps on the bed, as even-natured and kind as all dogs can be:
I love how our posts follow each other. The "before" and "after" is entertaining. Dixie looks like great girl.
Popcorn and Trixie
But wait, people are posting their non-issue dogs? OK then: my current dog Josie, aka 'My Shadow'. She is about perfect.
If you look closely, you'll see 3 Pugs, an Irish Wolfhound and my Stratocaster leaning on the edge of the bed, apparently my playing bores them...
Glad my wife is not on here. She wants every dog she sees. We would be dog hoarders if she had her choice.
Yall have some seriously sweet dudes and gals.
You named your harps?????
My boy Cody. He's 8 years old. We love him.
Taco just turned 7
Merry and Jack.
They are Dawgs.
Dieter (or Dipper according to my kids), our 6month old German Shepherd
rz350 - I think 3 pugs and a ginormous dog are the right combo.
Frank - the Dad
Lily - The Mom
Jack Ash - their kid
Minnie Pearl - the Blonde Bombshell
(I don't know if you can see the pics. I see them in the preview for the post in my browser and I see them on my phone, but they do not show up in either Firefox or Edge browsers. But when I view the post, I see a missing image icon. They are beautiful dogs, though)
This is what I wake up to every morning.
I never get tired of dog (or pet) threads. Great to see so many loved pups! Here is Sunni a retired racer. She has since passed, but what a sweet companion she was. Miss her, but one day I'll have another.
