Love that color. Very nice!
Mine's a '13.
Screwed the pickups WAY down and went to .o47 caps.
I'm liking it!
Wish it had P90s though!
I moved my pickups way down too. What did the cap change do for you?

this EPI firebird Limited Edition has a harmonica bridge that allows me to set the intonation left handed, plays beautifully. here its sitting around on a friday night with a few friends
The pickups still had a little harsh edge to my ears.
It seems with the 047 cap, as soon as I roll off a little from 10, that edge softens up and it sounds fatter.
Never been to BC.
Are most of the guitars backward up there?
I thought that would be more of a southern hemisphere thing.
kinda like the coriallis effect for guitar playing,no its a pleasure for people who think outside the sphere, finding lefty guitars that are players is a challenge so i try to get them when I can.
There is something else awry with that group pic...
andrenighthound - that is one beautiful looking 'bird!
yup Im missing Rick Neeson's (Cheap Trick) Left handed Broadcaster, that should be my guitar Im letting him look after it for me, for now but you know Rick he may not give it back until after im dead.
And I thought he meant the 2 glowing dildoes flanking the lava lamp.
those are epoxy moulds of a Trex tooth a friend of mine found while dino hunting in Alberta (The detail is astonishing they have serated edges down the front side of them.)
They make cool lamps but are very rude looking from a distance, agreed
Now if any one talks to Rick have him return my bradcaster , he wont return my calls,
may be its the lamps scared him.
Make sure it hasn't ended up on his Reverb page.
iv'e been watching, just in case
Went bird hunting , brought this one home , lovin it !!!!
2015 Firebird V
I've been wanting one for some time .
It's crappy weather today , I'm stayin inside to get to know this guitar a little better , there's about four amps here I want to plug it into .
My 2004 FBV Golded Out
wound my own pickups too using:
A4 mags (I cut)
Gibson's bobbins with 42 purple/brown vintage wire
No wax potting.
Found gold Kluson banjo tuners at Parts Is Parts in Vermont.
If someone can send me to a site where I can post a few sound clips, I will.
Just joined the club! My 2016 Firebird was delivered this morning.
Been going back and forth between that and the sg standard. How do you like the neck? is it a 50's style, or the slim?
I believe it's spec'ed as a slim taper. It doesn't have the baseball bat feel of something like a '59 reissue LP.
