Gibson Explorer, (GA-16?) a bit tattered but sounds pretty good. Moded with a master volume. Original speaker. Red lamp cord for wood block footswitch that turns on vibrato

Prior to retiring from live playing back in the mid 80's, my live amps were a 1964 and 1966 Deluxe Reverb and a 1964 Princeton Reverb for recording/practicing at home.
I'd sold all my guitars/amps/keyboards in 2001-2002, so was starting from scratch back in 2012 when I began playing (just at home) again.
I was looking for something for practice/home recording and ended up with a Fender Blues Jr. (NOS) Tweed amp. 15 watts, master volume, EL84's, 1-12. I A/B'd the Black Tolex version against the Tweed and ended up with the tweed due to the speaker preference.
A few years later, I'd been missing having a Princeton Reverb and went looking at the '65 RI's and also the 68 Custom PR. After A/B'ing both for a good hour with my favorite Strat, I (to my surprise) ended up going home with the 68 Custom. 12 watts, no master volume, 6V6's, 1-10. I use this combination with a Fender A/B/Y pedal to switch between amps/combine both.

Just picked this up a few days ago, barely played and looks brand new. Only used it at home so far, can't wait to try it out with other people!

Recently picked one of these up at a great price. That might not be the best turn of phrase....it weighs 89 pounds. Not ready for the gigging rotation- but might be the ultimate modern venue standby? Twin4-1200-80.jpg

This is a more realistic gig standard. They don't get to look like this my c30.jpg just sitting in a studio.....

The grouping from L to R - '63 Vibroverb RI, Bandmaster VM, SCXD-12, '90's Deluxe 112. Missing are the CVR (at the practice space) and the Ampeg B100R (in storage). A nice array, but I'd like to replace a couple with more vintage stuff.

Allen Old Flame (Kind of a super reverb)
    Dr. Z RXJR
    Princeton Reverb

Now I'm just in the market for a 5watt tweed and I'll be golden. Beautiful amps posted here !

    Whitney MV-34 head, 2x10 cab with 1980's
Naylor 1040's. Brown base el34's. Vintage RCA 12ax7a's

This setup is true a joy for me. 50's blues type stuff, luscious distortion at minimal volume, home use.

    I LOVE this amp.
