I found a used 62 Custom Shop Tele, mild relic, the paint has the crackling lines, not worn off paint or anything, its a good price too, 1200 euro.

Its a "one off" according to the Custom Shop serial. 2001. Looks fantastic probably the nicest Tele I've tried.

I just dont know if I should buy it, not sure if I will play it that much to be honest, as I'm not playing that much lately.

    What would you do?

If it feels good and you can afford it, why not?
    Maybe it will inspire you.
If not, I have a birthday coming up.

There's your answer! If you don't want it, I may. Where is it - a shop, or a private seller?

    EDIT: Link to pics?

Easier to say what I wouldn't do which is ask around here what I should do. You won't get a consensus and anyway it's your money and I really shouldn't be a part of telling you how to spend it. My only question is why spend $1200 euros on anything you won't use all that much?

I don't like beat up guitars, but if it plays exceptionally well that would trump the ugliness.

Also, do you have the cash? If you were planning on financing it I'd pass, 'cause that means you really can't afford it.

I doubt you'd lose money on it and a new guitar should inspire you to play

1200 Euros seems reasonable to me. It is very unlikely you would lose money if you decided to resell. I have two CS teles that I bought used and they don't cost much more than a new regular (USA) tele, but you get much better resale. I say go for it!

For this price, I'd say go for it. A new CS will probably cost twice the money (at least). Sounds like a good deal to me.

Where are the pics? What colour?

If you have to ask I'm guessing the answer is no.. You'll know when the right one comes along..

'62 custom shop, mild relic with bound body, seems ok for 1200 euros, as it's a private sale do you think the owner might take your strat in part exchange? always worth asking.

A guitar like that may inspire you to start playing again.

    Or, let's hope so.

Because from a "business" standpoint I wanna everyone who wants 1 guitar to go out and buy 10 of them.

    But if I didn't play, I don't think I'd own any.

Well looks like I'm going to buy it.

    Heres the COA

I've put 2 of my AVRI Strats up for sale as I have 3 AVRI's and only play one of them currently.

Apparently the guitar was a one off order custom 62 Tele spec CS from a guitar store in NY, 2002.

How about a picture of the guitar...to go with the COA?
