I am new to the Telecaster world and thinking about buying a used Tele from a private dealer. The guitar is listed as a 1999 USA Fender Telecaster. It has a swamp-ash body, rosewood fretboard, six string saddle bridge, 22 frets and two single pickups. I am trying to figure out which model it is and was wondering if the serial # on the back of the headstock would indicate that... the model# is N9413512. Does anyone know anything about this?

It sounds like an American Standard to me.

    The serial number would indicate that it's a 1999 (N+9) .
. .I would question the swamp ash part if it's an american
standard though. I would think it's probably alder unless
    it's a sunburst or a natural finish. Even so, I don't think
they used swamp ash, just ash (probably northern).
