Selector switch knob

    On the cs 52s........is that a standard fit? My knob fell off! :(

    Tele selector switch knobs always fall off, and you will get all sorts of advice on how to fix it. I took a couple pictures last time I fixed mine, illustrating my favorite (i.e. "the correct") method.

    Gently squeeze the switch's blade two of three times with a pair of diagonal cutters, like this:

    ... leaving burrs in the metal like this:

    Then reinstall the switch tip and it will stay on.

    In my experience, the barrel tip falls off because it's hollow around the slot, and one of the narrow ends of the slot gets blown out. A solid piece of plastic with a simple slot in it (like a Strat tip) doesn't do this.

    I prefer the smaller profile Strat tip anyway.
