Saw NRBQ two times this weekend. Completely different show each night (as in only two songs were played both shows). The band was excellent, especially Scott Ligon on guitar. I had the presence of mind to snag a little video to show my girlfriend, and I thought I would share it with you too. If you get the chance, check them out! “The Best Bar Band in America” Indeed!

The video “may not exist”, or I’m not allowed to view it, but I’m glad you got to see them!

Are there any original members left?

Terry Adams is still pounding the keys.

I continue to see "The Q" every chance I get and always leave with a smile :)

I almost went to that show at the Southern. I had no idea they were down to 1/4 of the original band. Last time I saw them they were at 3/4. They still sound great, even with the personnel changes.

That sounded good. I saw the original NRBQ in 1970. I kinda miss Steve Ferguson and Frank Gadler.

I saw them last in ‘89 or ‘90 at Liberty Lunch in Austin. Good times.

They used to play a regular day after Thanksgiving gig at Toads Place for years. I saw a lot of those shows when Big Al Anderson was still in the band. Good times.

Dang it... I’ve been bugging their booking person annually and can’t get them to play in Western NY. I can’t leave this plane of existence without seeing NRBQ.

Saw them shortly after Al left and it was Joey’s brother on guitar I think. Still great.

    Cheers,
    Geoff

I got to see them when Al was in the band. They opened for either Bob Dylan or Bruce Hornsby, I can't remember which. It was at the Univ. of Virginia basketball arena in the '80's. One of my favorite bands.

I saw NRBQ ( with Al, playing a brownface Fender combo) and Los Lobos together in the mid '90's.

We has pretty close seats to the bands in a medium size venue ( in DC) so it was awesome as a guitar player- very fun show!

I saw them there once. Also saw Big Al when he was in The Wildweeds.

They're still around? I saw them like....oh God, 30 or more years ago, at a State Fair (!), and they knocked my socks off. What a fun band!

I've The Q a bunch of times over the years, but haven't seen the newest iteration. I have checked out a bunch of videos and i think they sound great, right in the spirit of old. Terry Adams is a national treasure. Back in 1983 I saw NRBQ and Dave Edmunds together on a bill in Boston. Wow, THAT rocked!!!
