I love Jason Isbell as an artist and the 400 Unit as a band. They played a great show in Paris the other day and I since looked a bit further into the band members' own projects.

I ordered guitarist Sadler Vaden's excellent album from last year which I enjoy immensely.

Strangely enough, the liner notes do not specify neither songwriting credits nor participating musicians and I could not find any further information on the web. Does anybody have the details? (The below song is a cover version, but I believe he otherwise writes his own material.)

    (edited for a spelling mistake)

I can't help with any info, but I had to click in when I saw that name.

Big fan of Jason and his band - and I always enjoy Sadler's work with them.

I need to get this album. This song has a very Tom Petty/Heartbreakers vibe, which is a very good thing in my mind.
I just played the other samples off Amazon....yeah, I need this one.

It is a surprisingly strong album. I'm sure you'll like it a lot.

    You are welcome!

I took notice of him when he was with Drivin N Cryin and saw him play with them in 2013. Wow. He is amazing.

I can't answer your question unfortunately - but I just wanted to say that the original of that song is amazing. John Moreland is a great songwriter and will hopefully continue to grow a following as more songs come out.

Yes, I looked that up since. Another great find.

The other songs on Sadler's album, mostly his own probably, are very strong too.

Beyond the Moreland cover on his last record, he wrote all of the material. Not sure who played on it though did. Great interview at everyonelovesguitar.com.

He did just drop a new single....like 3 weeks ago. "Monster". I hope that it leads to a new record! Check it out at his band camp site if interested. I dig it...you can purchase all of his music there.

Just been listening on Spotify. Yeah, really nice vintage retro vibe finely crafted and lovely guitar tones.

Followed him to Jason via Drivin N Cryin too. Love his work & thanks for starting this thread. I've mentioned him elsewhere and got crickets.

I'm definitely a fan of what he is doing. He is wrapping up a new record right now actually...

Old thread, but thanks for "liking" my posts!

He is still busy doing his own stuff in parallel to his work with Jason.

He recently announced a new single on twitter.
