Bummer. I usually don't care much whether celebs live or die but R. Lee was just cool. Typecast, yes, but great at what he did.

I about died laughing when he showed up as House's father.

Kubrick said R Lee improvised most of the dialogue in this classic scene. He was brilliant in Full Metal Jacket and many other roles. RIP Gunny...

His portrayl of a drill sergeant was funny and scary at the same time.
Closest thing I've ever seen to reality.

That movie is one of the main things that made me join. I really just wanted to see if I could do it. Yeah, sometimes I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer. But, I survived.

My older brother used to work with his youngest brother. All in the of the Ermey kin were Marines. He was the real deal.

You sure you're not squeezing an inch in there on me?

Are you a Peter pumper? I bet you're the kind of guy who'd f*** a guy in the a$$ and not give him the common courtesy of a reach around!

    CHOKE YOURSELF!
    Not with your hands dummy!
Don't pull my hand to you! Lean down here and CHOKE YOURSELF!!

I will rip off your head and s*** down your neck!

You had best unf*** yourself or I will gouge out your eyeballs and skull f*** you

Get up the obstacle Fatbody! I bet if there was a piece of pu$$y up there you'd get over it! GET DOWN, FATBODY!!! GET OFF MY OBSTACLE!!!

Some great lines in that movie.

He was the kind of guy I'd want to have a drink with (if I still did).

There was a show on the History Channel where he was he host testing and talking about military weapons. Always enjoyed him, since he was the real deal.

And he was a great actor, even though he was always acting as himself.
