Fair enough, guys. Much appreciated.
Hey, guyz, this thread is dead now, so thanks for joining in. Looks like I am not the only one upset by incorrect info written by supposed authorities. Great we have TDPRI to find out the real facts!
Gurus are not by definition infallible, the real gurus all know that. And the good ones typically LOVE to ammend their treatises and teachings if they receive quality/accurate new technical info or viable philosophy constructs. They are on the never-ending quest for truth and clarity, that's their mission.
So tell the Guru what you believe to be true, be prepared to constructively argue (formal method of argument, not the "shout down") with peer-reviewable facts and original source materials. If the guru is a for-real guru you will be heard and his/her message will be ammended with your new input (if not...check the label of origin on his/her poncho)
FWIW those articles are "informational" articles - not technical ones. Most are not complete, and they are not always accurate.
they are written and submitted by reverb users and edited by Reverb's staff. They have some "semi techs" on staff but not working amp techs. I'd caution against considering any of those as being more technically complete or accurate than a random "online magazine" article.
Good 'last words' to this thread, Silverface.
