    Webster makes such goooood amps!!
I pickup a 60's Webster PA amp (6V6 PP) a year ago at a yard sale for $20.
After a recap, she was ready to fly!
    EF86/12ax7/6au6/6v6 x 2 and a 6ca4 rectifier tube.
6v6 tubes were GE; 12ax7, 6au6, and 6ca4 tubes were RCA; EF86 tube was an Amperex Bugle Boy.
12 watts played through a reconed 1960 Jensen P12R alnico speaker.
Yeah.....now I KNOW why people dig Webster amps!!

    Good luck with yours!!
    Steve

Found this thread, and I realize I'm a little late to this party. I have this exact amp. It's tone is totally delicious. It breaks up so nicely above 5 or so. My 80's US tele is a perfect match for it.

I didn't understand much of the techy stuff, but I like how it looks. Awesome mojo :)

I had one of these back in 79-80 in HS. If any of you are looking to sell or know where I can find one, I'd appreciate it.

This amp has been done and in use for just about 2 years...hard to believe.

Looks like I never posted any 'after' pictures, so I'll do that soon. But I don't have any experience making even amateur audio recordings, so that might take longer. I want audio quality to be at least passable.

I lucked out and found one on ebay at a guitar shop in NYC. It's now at home in OK waiting for me to get home next week. I drive semi and am out 2 weeks, home 2 days. Hopefully it's gtg so I can take it in the truck. It's too early to make any decisions without testing it, but I like the idea of a Celestion Greenback 12" or a GB 10" if fit is a problem.
I'd love to see fresh pics and clips would be awesome! The only way I could record would be the laptop webcam. Great thread! Lots of good info.
