Denatured alcohol to remove residue after heat gun. (Easy on the heat.)
Guitar CASE..., but still, don't use acetone as it's likely to melt the the plastic.
Naphtha for me, since the perfume they add to WD-40 bothers me.
I can neither deny nor confirm any recollection of these events.
Wd 40 is a penetrating oil not a lube, the WD stands for "water displacement" and is the 40th formula they came up with, like liquid wrench i use it as a penetrating oil, also WD 40 is a great fish attractent just spray on your lures!
yes it will dissolve the glue residue, now another thing I used to use to clean tape off of Mic cables that worked REALLY well was oil of Eucalypus ,eats glue like a hot damn!
Another vote for Naptha. I keep a can in the shop for all my goo-removal needs. If you don't want a whole can, just get a yellow squeeze bottle of Ronsonol lighter fluid. Same stuff.
Nail polish remover.
Do NOT use nail polish remover on paint or plastic. Nail polish remover is acetone or acetone based.
