Question about certain Les Pauls

    I noticed that some GA-40 amps, I think not the oldest but the ones that came right after, a couple of circuit revisions, and also a few GA-30 amps and other Gibsons, have the center tap of the heater circuit connected directly to the cathode of the output tubes, before the cathode resistor and cap.

    Is this some kind of bias thing?
