Looking really good man. Unfortunately I've never been able to get clear to hide scratches actually it seems to make them stick out a little more. I like the color you have there classy looking. I did a similar finish on the one in my avatar. Keep it up.
When you zoom in on the first pic, man, I don't even have the words, but amazing keeps coming to mind.
You guys are too kind
Perfect work on finishing and guitar building also!!!
Was thinking of doing brown next. Seeing yours makes that seem like a good choice. Quite beautiful!
The plan was to add some red but the more I look at it I think I will call it good
I agree with calling it good. That's quite a unique and attractive color to me.
I dig how the quilt kinda blurs out from the center of the lower bout. Should be stunning when it's done.
I just have to say, that wood is gorgeous and you've got it finished superbly! Knockout! (I have a PRS SE, I want that one!)
Beautiful! Great job man. I'm excited to see it all assembled
Beautiful work Moosey-moose!
Time flies. Seems like you just started this build, and now its practically done!
Your son must be pretty stoked. Maybe he will give you the strat back when this is done?
Thanks! The flying V is next. Thanks again for the plan!
Yeah, i think i started in November. I don't get a lot of guitar building time but i chip away at it when i can. I think it helps me think a little between steps. No rush at all. The kid has become a big fan of the strat, not sure I will get it back.
I almost left the decal off this one, glad I tried it. It matches and blends in nicely. A couple more coats of clear then wait to cure. 2-3 weeks cure on nitro enough?
