How do the angled and non-angled bridge pickups differ, tone-wise?
Not a great deal, El Lobo.... I guess?....
the red one has a 4 way and a TBX tone stack and the brown one is a 3 way and two volumes and no tone.....
both different animals..... with different brand pickups.... very hard to compare....though similar I guess...
the angled bridge is homage to Leo to keep the fender Tele theme..... the parallel pickups is too much like those other makers I don't need to mention here...
there are no rules for PU placement.. dare to be different...
My new, third tele, work of serbian guitar maker, Aleksandar Jurišin . Alder body, flame maple top, flame maple neck and fingerboard, alnico 5 pickups ....

Is your Schecter have a black base color or is it very dark blue.. The flake looks to me to have some kind of blue in them.. very nice looking .

I would love to hear how those Imperials sound. Do you have any sound clips?
A 12-string from a Reid & Sons kit won on eBay for $75 shipped. The full story is here: http://www.tdpri.com/threads/kit-guitar-12-string-tele-as-seen-on-ebay.587407/
It's fantastic, everything I wanted/missed in a 12-string electric. I still don't quite understand how it turned out so well, as it was my first kit/'build' attempt. Even the tuners are still working flawlessly. Neck is a little chunkier than I like but on the other hand I like the solidity of it.
And only 6.25 lbs. (wood is paulownia). The slight neck dive is remedied with a wide, suede-backed strap.
A pro friend who gigs with a 12-string played it and immediately offered me $500 for it! I said it was not for sale. (Do I hear $1,000? ...probably sell it for that! LOL) He wants me to make one for him. I might do it.
