as some of you might know i am building a thinline at the moment, i'm just waiting for the pickguard i got custom made to finish it. it would make my day to see your thinlines! i am new to the forum but ide really appreciate seeing them instead of going through countless threads to find them. you have to understand i am completely obsessed with these guitars and my eyes will probably fall out of my head and my jaw hit the ground to see so many thinlines in one thread, it's something ide treasure for the rest of my life... yours gratefully, ben thumbnail_IMG_8009.jpg

    Unrelated to thinlines, but

Did you tool the leather on your princeton? That looks sharp with that color grill cloth.

Welcome Ben - make sure to post pics of your finished build. Here’s my MIM RI, my only mod was to change out the pearloid pick guard for black.

Dad-o-caster.JPG When my brother and I were cleaning out our Dad's apartment, I found a basket case MIM partscaster. I salvaged the neck and electronics and put it together with a CV thinline body. Came out great.

Its brown western tolex. That PRRI was a special edition through zzounds, but the tolex is readily available.

Yes, I wanted it to be a little different, and I'm not that fond of the usual pearloid pickguards on these models.

I always wanted a black one with humbuckers and found an N.O.S. one for sale in a store years after they made a limited run in 2012 of AVRI 72 Thinlines.I bought it and have been very pleased.I did swap the pickguard for a black one to get a 'meaner' look...now she looks like a 70s muscle car(ha!ha!)!! 44112019_276173902870542_4917502017913487360_n.jpg

Nice - I had the pearloid for years. Last year I changed it out. The black makes her look like she means business.

OK, I don't own this one yet, but I 0303035521_gtr_frt_001_rr.jpg would love to sell my trusty ( but heavy) MIM Midnight Wine Tele this year, and get this Squier Thinline RI:

    Sorry, I can't format!
