Hi, I've got a 50s player strat that I love but I'd like to change the wiring a bit.

    The 5 way switch is wired like that: n, n+b, m, m+b, b
    I'd like to get a standard switching: n, n+m, m, m+b, b

Can I do that with the switch that's in there or do I have to buy a standard 5 way switch?

Also the tone controls are wired differently:
    1: n+m
    2: b

I'd like to have the middle pickup without tone control as always I tame bridge and neck pickup a bit and I have to adjust for any combinations.

Can any of you good folks help me with a wiring schematic?

    Thanks

If you have that wiring you must not have a standard switch so could you post what switch and wiring you do have.

Wiring if you get a standard strat switch

See post 11 in this thread. You will have to cut one jumper for disabling the middle pickup tone control

That bottom-most blue connection of the three on the lower right is the middle pickup's tone.

You do have the option with the superswitch of having the 'quack' positions w/ no tone control, or even a smaller cap. and/or keeping the bridge tone control on the middle pickup solo position if you want.
