so I've been using thicker gauge strings and new calluses have started to form to adapt. The thing is, I had a dentists appointment and ended up playing guitar while I was completely loaded. I was so out of it I ended up playing for 4 hours. At that point the strings ripped my calluses off but underneath them was just raw skin. So i kept playing for another 2 hours and felt fine afterwards. Less than 12 hours later and the raw skin underneath has already hardened into new calluses and I can play again with no problems. SO now im curious, is it really possible to play until your fingers bleed or am I just not playing long enough?
