    If I got down the 500k pot route do I need both or just the one on the volume and the resistor jumping at the bridge switch to ground?

    There's another problem with this circuit: turning down the tone cuts all volume. I can't figure it out as the circuit looks ok to me. Also, there is a constant hum, ground hum, and I don't know what's causing it. Tapping bridge plate and the jack casing simultaneously doesn't stop it. It's driving me daft!!

    Case closed on Pinkie. The cap was a dud and I added more ground lines between bridge and pots.

    More than happy though may change pot values in futures.

    Really enjoying this guitar now. Oh, and the major ground hum was the signal cable!
