the agony of choice
which one do you like better?
I like the second one.
I like the first one. I'm going through the same dilemma but came up with six shapes to choose from. Will try paper cutouts soon.
If it was my design, I wouldn't put a switch where the square is, since I'm a klutz and would hit it with my strumming hand. If that placement works for you, never mind.
2nd one for me.
I vote number 1.
Thanks, there will be no switch except for Cabronita-like from the back
It's gonna look great! Please keep us apprised of your progress!
if, than number one, but why not in the body mount and no pickguard ore use transparent pickguard material?
I like the indented curve on the bass side of both but don't like the amoeba-looking protrusion on the treble side that goes half-heartedly towards the horn (#2). I think I would alter that one to take a graceful curve downwards from the treble side of the neck and then tangent to the edge of the guitar down low.
I like the grain (it will be a beautiful guitar regardless), I'd probably go for a clear guard of some sort. I'm partial to the Cabronita style guard anyway.
Thanks, I could well use transparent material. Another decsion pending...
First one. That exposed tail of wood that results from the smaller second option looks lonely.
Thanks, the amoeba-looking protrusion (I had to google that one) comes from a thinline guard... I particularly like that part of it
Neither. I like the classic, original shape:
#1, even there is no practical use to protect the lower horn from pick scratches that far out. It just looks more pleaseing to my eyes.
I like the second one best of the two, but agree with the earlier poster that I'd rather have the original looking Nashville shape.
