They were a great band
Proof that punk was still about good musicianship and solid songwriting.
The Buzzcocks were one of my favorites. Along with the Jam and the Clash, they were one of the punk bands that actually put out some great music.
R.I.P. Mr. Shelley.
I was aware of the solo stuff and worked backwards to the Buzzcocks. RIP
Have a bunch of Buzzcocks in the other room in my vinyl crates. He and Steve Diggle did some great stuff.
A pic from 2017, playing an Epi. Props!
Do Fred Perry shirts ever go out of style? I don't think so.
I've had many good times listening to their music.
The Buzzcocks were my favorite band in my early 20s. Some of my fave lyrics to this day were written by Pete. The 1st song I ever wrote on guitar sounded like the. Buzzcocks. I even got to meet Pete backstage when I was 21.
I don't listen to them much anymore, but I'm sad to hear of Pete passing...
Bummer! I guess I was lucky enough to see the classic lineup of the Buzzcocks , early 80's @ the Ritz NYC ...
That has really ****ed my day up! Another legend gone. RIP big man!
I love this entire album.
Wow, another one at 63. The closer I get to 60, the more I more I hope to simply get past 63 or 65.
Sad. Some great tracks from my earliest teens. Pete Shelly informed my sense of short sharpness pop. Kudos .
Big fan. I wore a 33 RPM copy of Singles Going Steady when I was 17.
