I believe that "genius" and "perfect" are words that are taken way too lightly these days, but the thread about Glen Campbell and Alzheimer reminded me about his "Bloodline" album from 1976.

I've listened through it again (multiple times) - especially BucksStudent's remastered tracks - and I can't think of one thing that could be bettered. The songs, the arrangements, the production, the singing/playing - everything is perfect IMO.

The Cars self - titled first album is damn near perfect IMHO.

There are many perfect albums. Too many to list. In the ear of the enginer and artist as well as the producer every album they produce is perfect or near perfect.

What you're saying is in fact that "every" album is perfect - at least at the time of production/release.

That is of course ridiculous, and the people you mention are, thank god, not the ones who will make the judgement in this case.

    1+ on elliott smith.

"XO" "Either Or" "Figure 8" are pretty much "perfect" albums...Perfectly messed-up ( I mean that in a good way)

    My list...

    Elliott Smith - XO
    Cat Power - Jukebox
    Television - Marquee Moon
    Squarepusher - Ultravisitor
    or Hello Everything
Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young - Déjà Vu
Deep Purple - Come Taste the Band
The Clash - Give 'em enough rope
    or London Calling
REM - Monster , Document , Automatic for the People, & Accelerate are all VERY good albums

    Billy Cobham - Spectrum
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Blood Sugar Sex Magic, Freaky Styley, Uplift Mofo Party Plan, ect.
Rage Against the Machine - Rage Against the Machine
Led Zeppelin - Houses of the Holy
The Beatles - Magical Mystery Tour or Abbey Road

John Frusciante - Shadows Collide with People
U2 - How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb
    Santana - Moonflower
The Mars Volta - De-Loused in the Comatorium or Bedlam in Goliath

These are just the ones that stick out of my Vast collection of albums that I heard.

I know there is a few dozen other "Prefect" albums that I have...White Stripes, James Taylor, SRV, Hendrix, Aphex Twin, Sonic Youth, The Smiths, Jim Croce, Robert Johnson, Neil Young, Steely Dan, John Mayer, Paul Simon and countless others I am too lazy to type out.

I was thinking about throwing in Appetite for Destruction...ah what the heck...
