The official Velcro and zip tie ceremony is tonight. I hoped I could put them very close together with 6" cables with flat pancake jacks and sneak in the Snark Tuner on the right but I'm just leaving a power pigtail hanging off the right side (using a 1-Spot with 5 power plugs) and the Snark will sit on the floor off to the side.

It's the new Electro-Harmonix mini wonder board!

I'm thinking of getting one of these and I've got a couple of questions.

    1. Can you have pedals protruding from the sides (left/right, up/down) and still be able to close the case?

    2. How easy is it to self solder these tiny jacks and cables? (I can solder normal jacks to cables)

You can be creative as you like on pedal placement. I've actually seen 10 mini pedals on a nano. Your 2nd question, I don't know what you are asking, but pancake connectors are cheap enough to buy. Look up "Hosa" pancake 1/4" connector.

The way I have mine set up is slightly over size & I can still get it in the case, but its tight. Checkout solderless cable kits ( Lava Cable, George L's & Planet Waves.

I've just rearranged my Nano to add the Formula No. 5 - bit of a squeeze, but with right-angled jacks, five pedals fit ... Just.

Just counted the number of Catalinbread pedals in the pics on this thread. What is it about Catalinbread + Nano that seems to go hand in hand? Oh yeah. The fact that they sound fantastic.

    So my advice...

Buy a Nano. Buy 2-3 Catalinbread pedals. Be very, very happy.

Catlinbread comes out with tones that seem to match the tones in my head that I've been chasing for years. They are so tweakable that I really only need a few to get lots of great tones. The Nano is the perfect size for grab and go. Cuts down on the stage clutter too.

I have a Nano, and am sorry I didn't get the slightly wider Mini with the more accessible gig-bag instead.

I've found it is ok for pedals to protrude on the left and right sides and still be able to close the zipper of the bag. but I try not to let pedals protrude either up or down as I need the space to pack my OneSpot and guitar cable.

Here's a grab & go board that really does it all.

Managed to fit five pedals on mine, bringing the two TC Electronics pedals right to the edge. Might replace the Polytune, just to give myself a bit more room. Powered by a Volto.

All most people really need is a tuner delay and maybe a boost here's my pedaltrain nano.
