I've got a 3-colour Sunburst Baja '60s on order. The specs. state that it has a parchment pickguard. But the pictures, that I'm just now examining somewhat more critically, seem to show a white pickguard. Can Fender change course in this regard at will, and without notice? It's not that critical a problem for me, since I could always replace the pickguard, but I do like to get what I order. Here's some pictures I dug up. Any comments, or maybe your own experience with this guitar would be welcome.

    Thanks............Dave

Parchment, white and aged white are often difficult to discern between, especially varying in pics with varied lighting, on varied comfuser monitors and even more so when not viewed side by side! The differences can be quite subtle. Kinda looks "parchment" to me! :D

I've got a parchment pickguard on my Empress telebration. In some lights in looks white, in others a pale cream.

Sorry, went a bit mad with the photo's! I've not got the hang of it. - there must be a simple way of posting photo's, just haven't found it yet. But it gives you an idea.

parchment is just a slightly off white isn't it, pretty much any bright white that isn't stark white could be considered parchment.

Looks like parchment to me. I don’t use white anymore at all. All my strats have parchment and all my teles are black.

On TDPRI, just drag the file from your desktop / File manager / whatever, onto the post you're writing. Easy peasy.
