The one from "The Sound Heard Round the World" book.

It was white from the start (years before Olympic).
Gold Guard, looks like Gold hardware. The seller isn't saying much about it, but the pics show it to be the original one.
I think it's a clear guard painted from behind. Jimmy Bryant had a Tele like that.

The photo in the book shows the Ashtray on as Mr. Moore played it with Nat King Cole. He used Strombergs and large Gibsons before the Tele, so he strummed far from the bridge and hard. (Remember, the Tele was new and players had to adapt to having volume and "cut" now).

This is a beautiful guitar that definaltely will go for a lot of $$$$.
I would hope VG gets a hold of it and does a 2 page spread.

    Lol..

"Call for details. This one is going to be expensive."

Normally just 'Call for details' makes it out of 70% the world's price-range...

Cool looking guitar though, always been a fan of white and gold.

In the tele and amp pic thread (post 97) I posted a pic of my 50's classic white blonde w/gold pickguard on it. It kinda looks like the Oscar Moore Nocaster.

I've always held the opinion that gold hardware on fenders looks tacky. This is the day I take that opinion back. That guitar looks SHARP!

    sold on ebay before

that guitar was sold on ebay a few years back for 9500 bucks, posted as a late 50s factory refin, it has some 58 electronics if I remember right, the original seller claimed these were changed in 58 at the time of the refin, the pics of the original ebay sale are posted on the gallery of the webers tele page.

Fuzzy spent some time with that puppy (mentioned in another thread), perhaps he'll share his thoughts.

Can you enlighten us about the Oscar Nocaster, Vegasrock??

What exactly was that guard? Clear, and painted gold from the underside?

    Thanks!
